In the coming days, Nagaland will experience light to heavy rainfall which is expected to be fairly widespread, informed the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).

Thunderstorm with lightning is expected in the districts of Peren, Dimapur, Niuland, Kohima, Phek, Wokha, Mon, Zunheboto, Mokokchung and Longleng during October 10 and 11, 2024. However, the rest of the districts may experience partly cloudy light rain till October 15.

In this regard, the NSDMA, Home Department has urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period. The NSDMA also requested all the District Disaster Management Authorities and other line departments to be on alert to save lives and properties during this monsoon period.
