The 6th Mokokchung Inter Ward Football Tournament 2025 witnessed thrilling encounters in the final league matches as teams fought for a place in the quarterfinals.

In Match 13, Sangtemla overwhelmed Majakong with a 1-0 victory. R. Achi (Jersey No. 9) scored the lone goal in the 11th minute. Majakong struggled to break through Sangtemla’s solid defense and failed to score throughout the match.

Match 14 between Tongdentsuyong and Kumlong ended in a 1-1 draw. After a goalless first half, Tongpang (Jersey 17) scored for Kumlong in the 33rd minute. However, Tongdentsuyong responded swiftly with an equalizer by Limatongzuk (Jersey 16) in the 49th minute, leaving both teams with one point each.

In Match 15 of the 6th Mokokchung Inter Ward Football Tournament 2025, Dilong and Sungkomen played out a closely contested 1-1 draw.

The first half remained goalless, despite both teams creating a few chances. Sungkomen took the lead in the 40th minute through Lipoksungba (Jersey 20), giving his team a crucial advantage. However, Dilong responded swiftly in the second half, with Moakaba (Jersey 17) equalizing in the 46th minute.

Both teams made key substitutions in an attempt to break the deadlock, with Dilong introducing Matsungshilong (Jersey 13) and Sungkomen bringing in Tangmong (Jersey 31), but neither side was able to convert opportunities into goals in the final moments.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams settling for a point each.

Quarterfinals Set to Begin

With the league stage concluded, the quarterfinals are set to commence on March 31, 2025. Mongsenbai will face Majakong at 1:00 PM, followed by Tongdentsuyong taking on Dilong at 2:45 PM. On April 1, 2025, Sangtemla will clash with Artang at 1:00 PM, while Sungkomen will battle Kumlong at 2:45 PM.
