The Wokha District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WDCCI) has expressed dismay over the state government’s alleged inaction over the demand of the business community for “equitable justice” in the nomination of DCCI representatives to their respective Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and has warned of an indefinite agitation if left unaddressed.
WDCCI issued a statement saying that it is deeply concerned as to why some of the DCCIs including Wokha were denied nomination by the state government when each district needs fair representation to move forward at par with other districts in terms of growth and development in every sector.

“If the government fails to address our demand within the stipulated time, WDCCI will go ahead with indefinite business shutdown within its jurisdiction,” WDCCI warned.
