Nagaland will be hosting the Dr. T Ao Junior National Girls Football Championship 2025 in November.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) Executive Committee during its meeting held on July 2 at New Delhi approved the tournament to be held in the second week of November this year in Nagaland.
This was informed by Nagaland Football Association (NFA) president K Neibou Sekhose, who is also an executive member of AIFF.
In September 2024, the AIFF Executive Committee decided to rename the Junior National Girls Championship in honour of the first Captain of the Indian Olympic Football Team (1948), Late Dr. T Ao, as a tribute to his outstanding contributions to Indian football.
This will be the first time for Nagaland to host a national football championship.
