Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y Patton handed over a Mahindra Bolero to the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) in Wokha on August 27. The vehicle was received by LSU President, Lirhonthung Kithan.

Recognising the vital role LSU plays in guiding students, amplifying their voices, and working for the welfare of the community, Patton expressed confidence that the Bolero will further strengthen the Union’s reach and enable them to better support their initiatives. He extended his best wishes to the Union in all its future endeavours.

On the same day, Patton also flagged off a school bus donated to Don Bosco School, Old Riphyim. Sharing his motivation behind the donation, he recalled his frequent visits to the area, where he often witnessed students struggling under the scorching summer sun or getting drenched during the heavy monsoons while making their way to school.

Moved by this, the Deputy CM made the decision to provide a bus facility that would ensure safer and more comfortable journeys for the students and faculty alike.

Patton expressed hope that with this facility in place, students of Don Bosco School will not only attend classes with greater ease but also excel in their academic pursuits and beyond.
