CNCCI lauds Dimapur Police for rescuing kidnapped businessmen; demands stern action against culprits

The CNCCI further demanded the police to book the culprits and take strict action against the group involved, ensuring the severest punishment to set an example and deter future occurrences.
“Such proactive and decisive action by the police not only restores public confidence but also plays a crucial role in keeping our city safe and ensuring a conducive environment for the business community to operate without fear or intimidation,” it stated in a statement.
However, the CNCCI said it is a known fact that may such incidents have occurred but often go unreported due to fear, threats, and intimidation.
“The kidnapping and summoning of businessmen to various camps has, regrettably, become a recurring issue. It is understandable that both the business community and the general public often feel helpless in the face of such actions by armed groups, fearing for their lives and the safety of their family members,” it further stated.
The CNCCI urged the Dimapur Police not to hesitate in making public the names of individuals and groups involved in such anti-national activities, carried out in the name of the Naga National Movement, so that the people of Nagaland may judge for themselves.
Such actions not only undermine the true principles of the Naga National Movement but also bring disrepute to the noble cause and aspirations of the Naga people and smears the image of “Nagaland for Christ”, it further stated
The CNCCI expressed its commitment to support all efforts that promote peace, safety, and lawful conduct within the business community and society at large.
