Marking a year since the launch of its Sunday Service initiative, Dr Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH), Wokha, held a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday at the hospital’s Chapel Hall.
Introduced in 2024, the Sunday Service was envisioned to provide hospital employees—many of whom remain on duty even on Sundays—an opportunity to worship and seek spiritual renewal within the hospital premises.
Addressing the congregation, Medical Superintendent, Dr N Mhonchan Kithan said the initiative was introduced not only to help staff members attend worship and pray for their patients but also to strengthen their moral and spiritual well-being. He expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout the year and highlighted that thanksgiving fosters spiritual growth while also promoting physical and mental health by reducing stress and blood pressure.
Dr Kithan further extended appreciation to various churches for their continued visits and encouragement to the hospital staff.
