On learning about certain illegal activities, including illicit sale of liquor, drug peddling and extortion being carried out within the jurisdiction of Phek district, Chakhesang Region, Central Administrative Officer, Chakhesang Region, NSCN/GPRN has notified and warned against engaging in such illegal activities.

In a notification, Caretaker CAO, Neisalie Krome stated that no person or establishment is permitted to sell or distribute intoxicating liquor, stating all violators would be served with severe action.

The NSCN/GPRN also prohibited trafficking, sale and possession of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances stating that violators would be served with severe action.

On extortion and illegal taxation, the CAO stated that any individual or group involved in extorting money, imposing taxes on businessmen or individual using and defaming the NSCN, GPRN would be prosecuted to  the fullest extent as deem fit by the NSCN, GPRN.
