An orientation programme for NET Coaching in English for the 2025–26 session was conducted on November 10 by Prof. Suresh Kurapati, Coordinator of the NET Coaching Centre, Department of English, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus.
A total of 45 students from the M.A. (English) 3rd Semester participated in the orientation. The coaching sessions will be conducted twice a week throughout the academic session.

All faculty members of the Department of English will contribute to the coaching programme, while interested teachers from other departments of the University will assist in teaching Paper I. Ph.D. scholars from the Department will also extend their cooperation and support. The students have shown great enthusiasm for the initiative.
During the inaugural programme, all faculty members of the Department spoke on the importance of NET Coaching. Notably, 31 scholars from the Department of English qualified for the NET examination during the 2024–25 session.
