The Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University (NU) Prof. Jagadish K Patnaik led a delegation from the university and attended the 62nd All India Political Science conference and International Seminar, organised by the Indian Political Science Association (IPSA) and Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS), Bhubaneswar, Odisha from December 27-28.
The conference was held on the theme “We the People of Bharat” and was attended by Vice-Chancellors from different universities, senior professors and delegates from across the country.

The team from NU included the head of department of Political Science Prof. Dasarathi Bhuiyan, associate professor Dr. Shasanka Sekhar Pati and six PhD scholars from the department of Political Science, Nagaland University (NU). During the Conference, the scholars from Nagaland University presented research papers in different panels.
The Executive Council for Indian Political Science Association 2026-2027 was also announced during the conference. Prof. Dasarathi Bhuiyan was elected as an executive member of the association for the upcoming tenure.
