The much-awaited Nagaland Police Constabulary recruitment rally, announced through the 2025 notification for 1,176 Constable (General Duty) posts, officially commenced today across the state, including in Wokha district.
The week-long recruitment drive running from January 7 to 13 will see tens of thousands of aspirants vying for the police constable positions, with the process being conducted simultaneously at district headquarters statewide.
At Wokha, candidates began reporting for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Standard Test (MST) at the Local Ground, Wokha on the first day. These qualifying tests form the first phase of the selection process. Successful candidates in both PST and MST will progress to the Running Test and other physical trials, scheduled from January 10 to 13, as per the official schedule of dates, times and venues.
For the running segment: Male candidates will run from Zero Point, Vankhosung (NH-02) to below the DC Office, Wokha and Female candidates will run from Khorkha Stream (near Tourist Lodge, NH-02) to the same destination.
Only those who pass both the PST and MST are instructed to report for the subsequent Running Test, with reporting time set at 5:30 a.m. alongside their chest numbers and admit cards.
Superintendent of Police, T Relo Aye, has emphasized that candidates who clear the Running Test would then be directed to complete the Pull-up, High Jump and Long Jump tests at the Local Ground on the same day.
Earlier this week, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Yanthungo Patton reaffirmed that the recruitment process would be conducted in a transparent and merit-based manner, with no place for backdoor appointments, in line with assurances from Nagaland Police leadership ahead of the rally.
Mon:

In pursuance to Director General of Police Order the Recruitment Rally for Nagaland Police constable (GD) under Police Department commence at Mon Local Ground on January 7, which will continue till January 16.
The Rally began with a prayer by Police Baptist Church Mon, Pastor Rev N Banwang Konyak in the presence of Superintendent of Police, Mon Kanchan Kumar Kandpal, IPS, Additional SP Ado Yanlen and District Administration headed by Shekhozo Vero, NCS.
On the first day of the Recruitment Rally, 511 candidates took the Medical Standard Test and PST/PET (Running, High Jump, Long Jump).
A total of 6,121 candidates applied for the 166 positions allocated to the district.
Zunheboto:

The Police Recruitment Rally for Zunheboto district commenced on January 7 at the Police Reserve Ground, DEF Zunheboto. A total of 2,648 candidates participated in the recruitment process, competing for 102 posts.
Out of the total candidates, 2,397 are male and 251 are female. According to Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto Kupe Kapfo, out of the 102 posts available, 90 posts are reserved for male candidates and 12 posts are reserved for female candidates.
On the first day of the rally, the initial batch of 750 candidates underwent the Physical Efficiency and Medical Tests. The recruitment rally is scheduled to be conducted over four days, from January 7 to January 10, 2026.
Candidates who qualify the physical and medical examinations will be eligible to appear for the written examination, which is scheduled to be held on January 20, 2026, at Government Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto.
The recruitment drive has witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspirants across the district, reflecting strong interest in joining the police force.
Chumoukedima:

The Nagaland Police recruitment rally commenced on January 7 at NAPTC, Chumoukedima, for the three districts of Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland marking the beginning of a week-long selection process that would continue till January 13.
On the first day, all women candidates and Angami male candidates from the three districts participated in the Physical Standard Test, medical examination and Physical Efficiency Test. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill the Constable (General Duty) posts in Nagaland Police.

The rally began with verification of documents followed by physical and medical screening tests.
The state government and the Police Department have reiterated their commitment to ensuring a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process. Necessary security and administrative measures have been put in place to ensure smooth functioning throughout the recruitment period.
The recruitment rally will culminate on January 13, 2026, after which candidates qualifying the physical stages will proceed to the written examination and interview as per the notified schedule.
Peren:

The Nagaland Police recruitment rally for Constable (GD) posts is currently underway in Peren district as part of the statewide recruitment drive. The rally, which began on January 7 will continue till January 9, 2026 during which candidates will undergo physical measurement and medical examinations.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 50 constable vacancies out of which six posts are for female candidates. A total of 217 aspirants have turned up at the designated venue to participate in the selection process on the first day. Authorities have made necessary arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the rally.
Candidates who qualify in the physical and medical tests will be eligible to appear for the written examination scheduled later this month. Officials have advised participants to strictly adhere to guidelines and produce all required documents during verification.
Phek:

Nagaland Police Constable Recruitment began on January 7 at 5th NAP Camp Phek.
SP Phek, Dr Pritpal Kaur IPS, CO 5th NAP Muthasuyi Chakeshang NPS and subordinate officers were engaged in the recruitment process.
Mechietsho Koza NCS, EAC Phek and Yanthithûng DPRO Phek & staffs were also engaged in the recruitment process.
As per record 2741 candidates applied against 103 constable vacancies for Phek district.
