WDFA stated that the tournament has been locally organised over the years and invited well-wishers to contribute towards its success by reaching out to the officials.

On the occasion, the technical committee appealed to players to register under the Centralised Registration System (CRS) by submitting Aadhaar and PAN cards, along with attested birth certificates and passport-size photographs. The association informed that CRS registration would facilitate player identification and transfers, adding that in future, players without CRS cards would not be eligible to participate in recognised tournaments.

Later, the association also held a meeting with the Wokha District Referee Board.
