Age relaxation introduced for posts exempted from NSSB under uniformed departments

Kohima: Candidates who have not turned 38 years on or before 22nd Jan 2027 will be eligible to apply for posts

The Nagaland Government has introduced three years age relaxation for entry into government service for posts exempted from the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) with effect from 22nd January 2024.

With this relaxation, candidates who have not turned 38 years on or before 22nd January 2027 will be eligible to apply for posts in government departments listed in Para 3 of Schedule ‘A’ of the NSSB Regulations, 2020 that states:

“The recruitment to the post of Constable/Fire Constable/Warder/Female Warder (Pay Level-3) in the Department of Police, Prisons, Nagaland Lokayukta, Nagaland Police Telecommunication Organisation (NTPO), Home Guards & Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services, Excise and Forest Guard (Pay Level 5) in the Environment Forest & Climate Change Department will be exempted from the NSSB. Such Departments will constitute their respective Recruitment Boards with members from P&AR, Home and Finance Departments.”
