The Akumen Village Council (AVC) has issued a clarification stating that Moakaba, the accused in the recent sexual assault of a three year old, is not originally from Akumen Village.

“It is to be clarified to the public through this press note that the accused is not originally from Akumen village. His father is Late.Thapa (Nepali), only his mother hails from Akumen village and not as reported in the media,” stated the Council.

The Council noted that the clarification has been necessitated with various digital news platform  reporting the accused named, Moakaba as hailing from the Akumen village.

The Council strongly condemned the inhuman and heinous act and crime which cannot be tolerated in this civilized society.

“We pray for the victim and her family at this hour of pain for speedy recovery in physically, mentally and emotionally. The council demands that the law enforcing agency to award severest punishment to such criminal,” stated the AVC. N this regard, the village council asserted it will initiate appropriate punishment to the accused for tarnishing the reputation of the Akumen village council.
