To mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a cleanliness drive was organized at Puliebadze, Kohima by Assam Rifles under Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign. The event brought together various communities, organizations, and security personnel, working collectively to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability, informed a press release .
The Chief Guest for the event from Assam Rifles appreciated the overwhelming participation and commitment of all involved. Notably, the people of Jotsoma, along with the Jotsoma Youth Organization and Jotsoma Nature & Conservation Eco-tourism, played an instrumental role in the success of the drive. Their continued efforts in preserving and maintaining the Puliebadze landscape were commended as a shining example of community-led environmental stewardship.

The event saw active participation from students of Sazolie College, Science College, School of Science and Technology, Nagaland University and Forest Department. Additionally, the Kohima Municipal Council presented two dustbins for installation at Puliebadze, helping to ensure a clean environment for visitors.
The Chief Guest extended heartfelt thanks to the media for covering the event and raising awareness about the ongoing mission of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
