Assam Rifles’ COB Amahator under Kiphire Battalion organised a free Medical Camp at Amahatore village, Kiphire on September 11, as part of its continued commitment towards the welfare and well-being of communities residing in remote and underserved areas.

The medical camp provided free health check-ups, medical consultations and medicines to the local population and students of Government High School and Modern Cambridge School. A total of 115 villagers, including men and women and 45 students availed themselves of the healthcare facilities and underwent medical screening. Refreshments were also served to all attendees.

Speaking on the occasion, Major K C Babu, Company Commander, COB Phelungre, along with Regimental Medical Officer Capt Ankit Kumar, reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to community outreach and civic action initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the people of the Northeast.

Sechumba T Sangtam, Village Council Chairman of Amahatore, expressed sincere gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising the camp, particularly appreciating the initiative in view of the village’s remote hilly terrain and limited road connectivity.
