The official opening for the premier ‘Fallen Rise’, a bilingual feature film in Angami and Assamese, produced by Hillock Films in association with Golden Signature was screened at Hotel Vivor Kohima on August 8.
Opening the curtain for the premier ‘Fallen Rise’, Advisor for School Education, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, who was the Honored Dignitary for the evening congratulated the Assam-based film industry the Hillock Films and the Nagaland based Golden Signature for their collaboration in releasing the bilingual feature film.
Depicting on the title of the film ‘Fallen Rise’ representing opposite words, he stated that this axiom symbolizes a deep societal theme of the Naga society as the ethos of our old traditional culture and the inherited head-hunting society changed to modernity through Christianity and Education. He therefore expressed hope that through this premiere, they enter into various international as well as national film fora and various competitions.

Director of the premier ‘Fallen Rise’ bilingual feature film, Joon Khound, while sharing his journey of making the film said he initiated in making full-length movies for the International Film Festival, but these projects requiring a huge budget and eventually made him settled with a story reflecting on the life of ambitious students travelling from different places to cities for their higher educations.
He also highlighted in brief about the bilingual movie film shot in two different regions in the states of Nagaland and Assam, and shared that the prolong in releasing the film was due to the many difficulties, obstacles and challenges they faced during the shooting of the movie.
Cast Director, Zapusazo Sirie, while sharing personal experiences about the journey of the movie, ‘Fallen Rise said the movie shooting was started in the month of October 2022 and throughout the shooting, he and his management team had gained him lots of experience of both village and city life and the culture, custom, tradition and religion they follow. He also acknowledged the Village Council of Mezoma and its citizens for granting the village vicinity for the film shooting and also participating in the movie.
