Block Task Force meeting strengthens routine immunization efforts

On February 13, 2024, the Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) convened a Block Task Force Meeting at the SDO Civil Office in Jakhama on February 13, informed the DIPR. The meeting aimed to bolster routine immunization efforts through increased leadership participation.

Nockpai Konyak, SDO Civil Jakhama, chaired the meeting, underscoring the critical importance of child immunization and vaccination.

Rose, the Communication Officer, outlined the project activities being facilitated at Jakhama block. She urged stakeholders to support the project team in conducting awareness and sensitization programs on immunization within their respective communities. She also highlighted ISRN’s partnership with the State Government in executing the MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity (M-Rite) program, supported by USAID.

Dr. Medophretuo, Medical Officer at Community Health Centre Viswema, emphasized the significance and benefits of vaccination and immunization. Zubemo Jami, CDPO Jakhama, also addressed the meeting, sharing insights into the immunization initiatives.

The meeting saw participation from representatives of NGOs, the Council Chairman of Jakhama Village, and officials from various line departments.
