Body of missing man found near Yangru Bridge, Wokha

A man believed to be in his early thirties, identified as Sumu Mali, was found dead near Yangru Bridge in the government reserve forest under the Bhandari division of Wokha District, Nagaland. The body was discovered around 5:00 PM on Tuesday.

Sources revealed that Sumu Mali had been reported missing since Saturday. His body was found hanging from a tree, and was later identified by family members, including his wife.

While no foul play has been officially reported, local residents have speculated that the incident may have been a case of suicide.

After completing the necessary formalities, authorities from Merapani, Assam Police, and Bhandari Police handed over the body to the grieving family.

The deceased was a resident of the Disputed Area Belt (DAB) along the Assam-Nagaland border.
