Capacity building on value addition of agricultural crops held at Aghunato

One-day capacity building on value addition of Agricultural crops was held on August 13 at Aghunato, organised by ATMA block and SDAO, Aghunato in collaboration with ADC Aghunato.

Addressing during the gathering the ADC encouraged the trainees to focus on the organic products available in the region and to maintain consistency in their works taking example of successful SHGs in other parts of the country. He encouraged them to start small and maintain consistency and stressed on the importance of branding of products.

EAC Aghunato thanked the SDAO Aghunato for enabling the SHGs through such training programmes. Stating that the best performing SHGs were selected, she encouraged them to make good use of the skills that are imparted to them through the programme. She also mentioned that the SHGs would be receiving seed as financial support, while also stating that the funds are to be utilised strictly for purposes related to the SHG and not for personal benefit.

The selected SHGs are AZAKIVI SHG – Ghuvishe village, LAPUYI MUQO – Luvishe Old and LIKUPHU SHG – Luvishe New.
