A Capacity Building Workshop on Gati Shakti Portal of MDoNER & Nagaland was held at the Conference hall, Department of Industries & Commerce on 4th October 2024.

Senior Director, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), Vivek Gupta in his keynote address said PM Gati Shakti Portal was an initiative of the Prime Minister of India, to monitor large scale project which was launched on 13th October 2021 and the purpose of launching the portal was to improve co-ordination between various Ministries and departments.

Gupta emphasised on various challenges faced between the State and the Ministry in the past years such as delay in submitting of documents, lack of proper documents, loss of physical copy of the proposal etc. therefore, the concept of Vikas Setu portal came into picture to breach the gap between the State and the Centre and to ensure that all the departments have visibility of the activities providing critical data while planning and execution of projects.

Gupta, also said the PM Gati shakti portal has various tools available through which planning can be done as well as to check if there is any duplicity of the proposed project, and ones the project is submitted on to the portal the proposers can track their status online.

He also mentioned that the portal has no dependency on any person and all the project related information will be available in the portal and accessible by any officer from anywhere at any time and the portal will serve as a transparent system and in increasing efficiency between State and Ministry.

During the workshop, Secretary Industries & Commerce, Shanavas C, IAS thanked all the representatives from different departments for their presences and participation in the capacity building workshop on Gati Shakti Portal.
