Chare to Mokokchung road via Longsa to be completely closed on 29 and 30 Aug due to landslide

Tuensang: DC advises travellers to take two alternative routes

A Travel Advisory has been issued by Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, in view of the roadblock due to massive landslide which has occurred on National Highway 202 between Longsa Junction and Dikhu Bridge.

The DC has informed that there will be complete closure of vehicular movement along the said stretch of the NH (Chare-New Chungliyimiti-Meyilong-Longsa-Sewak Gate/Mokokchung) for two days between 29-30 August 2024 on account of restoration work/debris clearing.

Travellers are advised to take the following alternative routes on the restricted dates.

  1. Trongar-Alisopur-Longmisa-Mokokchung.
  2. Yangli/New Sangsomong-Yehemi-Suruhoto.
