The Chümoukedima Athletics Association (CAA) has announced that it will be organising Javelin competitions for aspiring athletes from the District on 7th August 2024 which is recognized and celebrated at National Javelin Day in commemoration of India’s first Olympics Gold Medal in Athletics that was won by Neeraj Chopra in 2020.

CAA informed that the event will be held in collaboration with Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA) at the 1st NAP Ground, Chümoukedima. Sedevikho Angami, President of the Association has also informed that the competition will be held for boys and girls in the category of U- 12, U-14 and U-16.
