Classrooms at GPS Wokha dedicated

The dedicatory program for a newly constructed classroom at Government Primary School (GPS), Airfield Colony, Wokha, was held on April 23 at the school premises.

According to the press release, the construction was made possible through contributions from teachers, School Management Committee (SMC) members, the colony council, the Chairperson Wokha Town Council, and well-wishers, as the school had been facing a shortage of classrooms.

The school was awarded third place in the FLN category in Wokha District in 2023. It also produced toppers in the PSLC examination in both 2023 and 2024.

The program was chaired by Loreni, with the dedicatory prayer and invocation pronounced by Sacheo Patton, Deacon of Airfield Colony.

Teacher-in-charge, Lichan welcomed the gathering, followed by short speeches from SMC Chairman Zubemo Ngullie, Airfield Colony Council Chairman Vincent Shitiri, and Nzan. Kumchen Murry delivered the vote of thanks.

The benediction was pronounced by Wobeno Enny, Deaconess of Airfield Colony.

Earlier, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new classroom was carried out by Vincent Shitiri, Chairman Airfield Colony Council.
