Cosmos Zenith Festival held at Pfutsero: MLA Mero calls for preservation and protection of flora and fauna

Pfutsero: ADC urges citizens to use platform to foster more unity and peace

The Cosmos Zenith Festival Project 4.0 in collaboration with ADC office, Pfutsero sponsored by Northeastern Council Secretariat, Shillong was held at Pfutsero Sports Complex, Phek district, on 8th November 2024.

Gracing the fest, MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero said that Nagaland has lots of festivals for different tribes in different seasons, and Nagas are known as the land of warriors and traditions. He expressed his joy in the Cosmos Festival and compared human life and flowers having similarities where both grow at different stages and fade at the end.

Mero pointed that Pfutsero town is a place of greenery at all seasons which is a blessing and should learn to preserve and protect the rich flora and fauna, and advised the gathering to love the town and make Pfutsero a better place with better environment.

ADC Pfutsero, Mhalo Humtsoe, in her address, described Pfutsero as a breathtaking town of Nagaland. The fest represents a moment where the natural world around us is in full bloom, and stated that it is a renewal of peace and unity in diversity and to take this platform in fostering more unity and peace between the villages, colonies and the people.

Other highlights of the programme included folk song presented by Vehüsülü Rose and Hüshezülü Khamo, Jual Centre of Music and Arts performed “Glorious”, war cry by Duelhi Dienu, Folk troops by Gidemi Youth Organization and Rev. Dr. Neingupe Chiero, Sr. Pastor PTBC invoke God’s blessings, while the benediction was proposed by Kezutsho Thida, NAP Youth Director.
