Nagaland Governor, Nand Kishore Yadav held an interactive session with the students of Eden Higher Secondary School Dimapur. The students had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and gain insights on leadership, governance and the importance of education.
During the interactive session, the Governor encouraged students and young people to study hard, work hard and develop self-confidence to succeed in life, stressing that there is no substitute for hard work. He said that as India moves toward the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, Nagaland must progress alongside the nation and align itself with that larger goal.
He noted that government jobs should not be the only aspiration for the youth. Instead, youngsters should be encouraged to pursue innovation, entrepreneurship and creative ideas. He also emphasized that women are equal to men in capability and potential, and urged every individual to contribute meaningfully toward the betterment of the state.

The Governor highlighted the importance of using technology wisely as an asset, focusing on its benefits rather than its drawbacks. Speaking about his own journey into public service, he said that Jayaprakash Narayan inspired him to join the student movement and later into public service. He added that the motivation for public service cannot be forced, but must come from within. Since society gives people opportunities, individuals should also give back to society.
He further advised the youth to stay focused on their goals, dream big and pursue their ambitions with determination. According to him, Nagaland has immense potential in fields such as tourism, but there is a need to change outdated perceptions about the state.
Sharing memories from his student life, the Governor said he remained committed to his studies and worked hard to bring pride to his family. He spoke about the struggles he faced, but said strong determination helped him overcome difficulties. Even when circumstances are tough, he said, hard work remains the key to success.
The visit served as an enriching learning experience and an inspiration for the students.
