CP Rothihu leads police personnel in Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, Police Personnel under Dimapur district led by Commissioner Police Rothihu Tetseo, IPS conducted the morning procession/ walk carrying the Indian National flags from CPs office to City Tower and back to CPs office.

Before commencement of the procession, Tetseo briefed the Police Personnel about the flag codes and rules and directed all uniformed personnel for observing “Har Ghar Tiranga,” reminding them that it was a duty of the police.

He also referred to Section 2 of the Prevention of National Honor Act 1971 talks about insults about the Indian National Flag and Constitution of India which states, “Whoever in any public place or any other place within public view burns, mutilates, defaced, disfigure, destroys, tramples upon or otherwise shows disrespect (whether by words either spoken and written or by acts)the Indian National flag shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years or with fine or both.
