The International Day of Peace was observed at Baptist College, Kohima on September 21, 2024, in collaboration with MasterPeace Nagaland and TaFMA, under the theme “Cultivating a Culture of Peace.” The event took place at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel and was chaired by Dr. Sentinaro, IQAC Coordinator.
In her welcome address, Narola Chuba, Vice-Principal, emphasized the urgent need for peace amid ongoing conflicts, hunger, and poverty, advocating for a sustainable world. Imnainla Jamir, Global Ambassador for MasterPeace, discussed the significance of a culture of peace and the potential for positive change, emphasizing harmony with nature and the slogan, “We Want Peace.”

Rev. Fr. Charles D’Souza, Principal of St. Paul School, Phesama, delivered a keynote address urging attendees to set aside pride and become advocates for peace. He highlighted the Nagas’ role as storytellers in promoting forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Enünü Sale, Assistant Coordinator IQAC, Baptist College.
