The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) organised the first ever Friendship Sports Meet at Loyem Memorial Astro- Turf in Tuensang on 24th May and 25th May 2024.

The Sports Meet was held with the aim to create a sense of oneness among all the tribal student unions within Tuensang Town.

A total of eight student unions participated in the Meet including Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town, Tuensang Village Students Union, and the student bodies of the Khiamniungan, Sangtam, Yimkhiung and the Tikhir.

All unions participated in the Men’s friendship football match while tug of war was particularly organised for the ladies.

The final match of the football match was played between KSU and CWS which was won by the Khiamniungan Students’ Union. In the tug of war, the trophy was won by Chang Students’ Union, Tuensang Town after they defeated Tuensang Village Students’ Union

The Friendship Sports Meet was filled with excitement and enthusiasm among the young people and it ended with a feast in the presence of all the respective tribal unions.
