The District Administration Longleng led by Deputy Commissioner, W Manpai Phom NCS, along with Superintendent of Police, District Disaster Management Authority, PWD (R&B) and Dobashis of Longleng inspected the affected areas caused by the landslide on July 21.

Due to incessant rain on July 19, it has been reported that the district is currently cut off from all side: Longleng – Changtongya, Longleng – Tuensang, Longleng – Aboi, Tamul – Merangkong and Tamlu – Wakching. As per the damaged report, the district has witnessed landslides, Mudslide, and Flash floods causing damage to Property/Plantation/Farm, and road infrastructure. However, no loss of life was reported.

The District Administration, DDMA and PWD (R&B) Longleng are in the process of clearing the roads.
