DCs of Zunheboto, Mon urge citizens to make most of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra as campaign launched in districts

Zunheboto/Mon: Three villages in Zunheboto – Sukhalu, Natha Old and Natha New- were covered on first day

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) was launched in the districts of Zunheboto and Mon on 6th December 2023.

At the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Zunheboto, DC Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS flagged off the Information, Education & Communication (IEC) van. In his speech, the DC hoped that people in the remote villages will gain awareness of various schemes through the campaign. He also highlighted concern that some people are yet to acquire Aadhaar cards.

During the program, a recorded message of the Prime Minister of India was played which was followed by Sankalp (pledge) video for Zunheboto Viksit Bharat. Successful experience by beneficiaries was shared by BDO Zunheboto, NRLM Zunheboto and Agriculture department.

This was them followed by short speech from Hekheto Yeptho, Chairman Sheyipu village, followed by felicitation of women achievers by DHEW Zunheboto after which the Deputy Commissioner flagged off the IEC van.

The three villages – Sukhalu, Natha Old and Natha New- were covered on the first day.

In Mon, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was officially launched at Multipurpose Hall, Mon village with Deputy Commissioner Mon Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS as the Special Guest. Addressing the gathering, the DC shared the intent of the Government of India to bring the flagship schemes to the doorstep of the beneficiaries. He added that similar campaign is being conducted throughout the state and the country. DC Verma urged the public to avail the opportunities from the services offered by the various line department present at the campaign.

The inaugural program was chaired by Merishan Ezung, EAC, Mon who highlighted the main purpose of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which is to raise awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of the flagship schemes of the Government of India and to ensure that the flagship schemes reached the target beneficiaries at the grass root level.

Success stories were shared by the beneficiaries who benefited from the various flagship schemes.

The service available on the spot includes free medical camp by the Medical Department, registration of CMHIS Ayushmann Bharat, PM Ujjwala registration, KCC PM Kisan from SBI and Aadhaar enrolment.
