District Institute of Education and Training Tuensang celebrated its Silver Jubilee on Monday with the theme ‘To Learn is to Change’. The significant occasion was held at DIET Auditorium Tuensang with the district’s Deputy Commissioner, Nokchasashi, NCS as the chief guest, DIPR stated.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC thanked and congratulated the teaching faculty and pioneers of the institution for attaining the milestone. While stating that completing 25 years is not an easy task, he further encouraged, “it’s a day of celebration of achievement and also a time of devotion and commitment to our work to re-evaluate and draw a road map for the action plan for the future.”
Nokchasashi also said that there is a shortage of trained and qualified teachers in the State which is hampering the quality of the education system. He encouraged the students to adjust to the changing qualities of the world and develop the skill and knowledge which will benefit the society as a whole. He also highlighted the New Education Policy 2020 of the Government in his speech.

At the function, the keynote address was delivered by Limawabang Jamir, vice Principal, DIET, a special number was presented by the Jubilee Choir, a special prayer for DIET was pronounced by Akhang, Pastor, Unit Baptist Church 3rd NAP, and a Vote of thanks was given by K Hekamla, Lecturer, DIET. The program was chaired by Bendanglemle Chang, Lecturer, DIET Tuensang.
