Directorate of YRS conducts Viksit Bharat Vision Pitch

Altogether ten young minds from different educational institutions of Kohima, Dimapur and Peren participated in the third round of the selection process for the reimagined National Youth Festival 2025, now called the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.

Young minds aged 15-29 years, having cleared the first two rounds – Viksit Bharat Quiz and Essay/Blog Writing, today participated in the Round 3 – Viksit Bharat Vision Pitch Deck – State-level presentations conducted at the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports Nagaland.

They made PowerPoint presentations on the particular topic on empowering youth for Viksit Bharat chosen by them.

Speaking on the occasion, Director, Youth Resources and Sports, Kethosituo Sekhose said the National Youth Festival focuses on identifying young leaders of the country.

He said that there are young minds who are very good in folk songs and dances, in music, and other co-curricular activities but the government would like to give chances to those who are also very interested to pen down their thoughts and make it into something recognizable and acceptable to the other part of the world.

He expressed optimism that the youths selected from the state would also be selected at the national level.

Youth Resource Officer Naroenla gave a brief overview of the entire state championship and informed that the selected students would represent the state at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue as part of the National Youth Festival scheduled for January 11 and 12, 2025.

Through the program, the participants will have the chance and the opportunity to connect with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said. YRS Deputy Director Jakedovo Chase was also present on the occasion.
