Mokokchung: DG Rtn advises Rotarians to identify community’s needs and take lead

District Governor Rotarian Nilesh Kumar Agarwal of Rotary International District 3240 paid an official visit to the Rotary Club of Mokokchung. A program was held at the Rotary House in Mokokchung on 5th May 2024. The District Governor was accompanied by Assistant Governor Rotarian Indira Gogoi fAG Zone XVI.

In his speech, DG Rtn Nilesh Kumar began by emphasizing the importance of having ambition when joining the platform. He urged all Rotarians, Rotaract, and Interactors to understand the platform, acquire knowledge, and utilize it to elevate the Rotary Club to a higher position. He appreciated Rotary Club Mokokchung’s recognition in the town and was impressed by the fact that the entire community knows about the Rotary junction.

The DG Rtn also praised the Rotary Club Mokokchung for its various activities and silent achievements, including the IPPI Booth, hospital projects, and teacher awards. He advised Rotarians to identify the community’s needs and take the lead, while also encouraging them to recruit young, energetic members into the club.

The welcome address was given by the Chartered President, MB Longkumer, and the introduction of the District Governor was done by Rotarian Maniraj Rai. The Rotary Club’s report from 2023-2024 was presented by Rtn Imlitemsu Jamir, SE, of the Rotary Club Mokokchung, and the Vote of Thanks was proposed by I Temsu Jamir.

12 students and 3 teacher in-charges from the Interact Club, Jubilee Memorial College attended the program.
