District Level Literary Competition held in Mokokchung

Mokokchung: Seven schools entered the literary competition, which had two competitive categories: Quiz and Extempore

The All Nagaland Private Schools Association, Mokokchung Unit organized the District Level Literary Competition at Model Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on September 9.

Seven schools entered the literary competition, which had two competitive categories: Quiz and Extempore.

The winners for the Extempore competition were:

  • Kisangwala Longkumer, Bridges Academy, Changtongya – first place
  • Chendila Walling, Queen Mary Higher Secondary School – second place
  • Temjenlemla, Canaan Christian Higher Secondary School – third place

The winners for the Quiz competition were:

  • Chumlanthung Rangthang and Yimren L Jamir, Queen Mary Higher Secondary School – first place
  • Yimchar Imchen and Aotoshi Longkumer, Ladybird School – second place
  • Khurshed Reja and Tosachingchong, Canaan Christian Higher Secondary School and Asif Ansari and Sunepjungla Pongen, Straightway Higher Secondary School – joint third place

The winners received certificates and financial awards. They will be participating in the state level competition in Kohima.

The judges of the events were Imyatetla, PGT (English), Mayangnokcha Higher Secondary School, and Kevezai Tureng, Assistant professor, Department of Philosophy, FAC, Mokokchung.

Earlier, the program was led by Imsuienla, Asst. Teacher, LBS.

Dr Anungla Aier, President of MUPSA, made the welcome address while Rev Fr Sajimong, Principal of Queen Mary High School, prayed for the occasion. A special presentation was presented by Hill View Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung and lastly, the benediction was given by Tongpangkokla, Asst Teacher, MHSS.
