On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) successfully organised a cleanliness drive on the theme “My City, My Responsibility.” The initiative covered the stretch from Hotel Tragopan Junction to Khermahal Police Point, Dimapur.
The drive witnessed active participation from representatives of various DNSU units, along with enthusiastic students and dedicated teachers from Neingulie Memorial High School, HMC School, and Trinity School. Participants engaged in clearing roadside waste, cleaning public spaces, and spreading awareness on the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the city.
The programme aimed not only at immediate cleaning but also at encouraging long-term behavioural change among citizens.
The DNSU expressed its appreciation to the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) councillors of Ward 3 and 13 for their support and cooperation and said their contribution in providing water and refreshments greatly assisted in the smooth conduct of the drive.
