The Peren District Football Association has made it to the finals of the ongoing 23rd Inter-District Football Championship Dr. T. Ao Trophy 2024. Earlier the 2nd Semi final match between Peren and Mon on Thursday was cancelled due to the foggy weather conditions in Tuensang.
The match was abandoned half way in accordance of the by-law of the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) where Mon team had earlier scored 1-0 goal on Thursday.

The remaining minutes of the match resumed on Friday at 7.am, where Peren reached the final championship, with Kenumdi from the Peren team scoring the first goal at 82 minutes and Khiuwangbo scoring the second goal at 90 minutes. Peren scored 2 goals against Mon (1).
Later, the final match will be played between home team Tuensang and Peren at 2:00 pm today at the Loyem memorial astro turf ground Tuensang.
