The Department of Science and Technology, Nagaland, in collaboration with Government Middle School Leinak, Longleng, organized a Science Exhibition and Science Quiz on 23rd August 2024 at the school premises. The theme of the event was “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat.”

The event was moderated by T. Manphen Phom, Primary Teacher. The welcome and introductory note was delivered by Shumei Antony, Head Teacher who highlighted that the event was organized to spread scientific awareness and to encourage the young minds to take up science as a career.

Altogether four schools participated in the event. Cash Prizes and Certificate of Achievements were awarded to the winners and Certificate of Participation were given to all the participants.

In the Science Quiz: Anyak S. of GMS Leinak secured 1st, Omtan Phom of GMS Shayung secured 2nd and B. Sangke of GMS Leinak secured 3rd.

In the Science Exhibition: Team Albert Einstein secured 1st, Team Thomas Alva Edison secured 2nd and Team C.V. Raman secured 3rd.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Nokchatemjen, Graduate Teacher.
