A dumper truck carrying cement met with a major accident on the night of June 25 at around 9:00 p.m., about 14 km crossing Noklak.
According to reliable sources, the truck reportedly suffered a brake failure, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The impact left the front portion of the truck extensively damaged, while its load of cement spilled onto the road.
The driver, identified as Sune (25) of Lengnyu village, Noklak, and the handyman, Thangsoi (19) of Sanglao village, sustained injuries in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

One of the injured was reported to be in critical condition at the time of filing this report.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be officially confirmed, though initial information suggests that brake failure may have been the cause.
