Agape Higher Secondary School Kiphire in collaboration with District Forest Department organised an essay competition on this year’s World Environment Day theme “ending plastic pollution” while a painting and collage art event was organised under the Nagaland Board of School Education.
Principal of the school P Lipichum Sangtam highlighted how these competitions contribute in upskilling the potential of students. He said these activities are small ways of discovering and improving one’s imagination and skills towards particular skills of interest.
The essay writing competition was conducted for students of class 11 and 12. Altogether, 17 students participated in the competition.
Linoka of class 11, Aboli A Sumi of class 12, and Suzila L Sangtam of class11 were adjudged as the winners of the essay writing competition.
Meanwhile, a total of 30 students from class 6, 7 and 10 participated in the painting and collage art.
The district Forest department extended appreciation to the school and students for their sincere dedication towards spreading awareness for environment.
