As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), an exhibition match was organised at Shamator with active participation from various Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of the district on June 20 at Public Ground, Shamator.
The programme was chaired by Sangtsui, EAC, Shamator, while Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, NCORD Shamator, Arikumba, NCS, graced the occasion as the Special Guest.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the involvement of CSOs in the campaign and called upon all stakeholders to continue supporting the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan through collective action and awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, Athrong, NCS, SDO (Civil), Shamator, highlighted the importance of community participation in combating substance abuse and emphasized the role of sports and positive engagement in promoting a healthy and drug-free society.
The exhibition match served as a platform to strengthen community engagement while spreading the message of a drug-free and healthy society. Earlier the football match was played between GBs and Ward leader Vrs. Shamator Town Students Union and Shamator Town Public Forum. The GB & WARD won the match by 3 Goals to 1.
