Ten students from Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung participated in the National Integration Camp for NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers at Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, Assam from January 21st to 2th, 2025. The seven-day long camp was organized by the NSS Cell, AAU Jorhat and The Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati under the theme “Youth for My Bharat”.
The camp was attended by 200 NSS volunteers and Program Officers from 16 States namely, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
The student volunteers along with Dr. L. Imlinichet Imchen, Program Officer and Assistant Professor, FAC, the contingent leader represented the state of Nagaland in the Mega event.
Some highlights of activities at the National Integration Camp included:
- Cultural presentation from all participating states.
- Technical sessions on
– role of NSS volunteers in entrepreneurship development
– hands on training on disaster preparedness
– fashion and National integration
– role of financial institutions in national integration
– life skill education etc
- Competitions: Cultural presentations, Speech competition, Art and Rangoli.
