In a first, four students from Nagaland participated in the Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RBVP) 2023, erstwhile known as National Level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition, in Pune, Maharashtra. The Exhibition, organised by the Department of Science and Mathematics, NCERT, New Delhi was held from 26th to 31st December 2023.
The students selected from Nagaland to participate in the exhibition included two girls from Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima, and two from Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima. 172 scientific exhibits from 167 schools of 27 States, UTs and 6 organisations were invited to participate in the national exhibition.
Jentina Yaomei and Novinu Vitsu from LFHSS presented their exhibit on ‘Grey Water Filtration and Rainwater Harvesting’ while Thutsuno Medeo and Nokrenkala Kichu of RGHSS presented their exhibit on ‘Planetary System Board Game’ during the 6-day exhibition program. The students were accompanied by their Guide Teachers, Edward Aley of RGHSS and Kazhüni Chachei of LFHSS, Kohima.
The themes for RBVP 2023 were Advancement in Information and Communication Technology, Eco-friendly Materials, Transport and Innovation, Environmental Concerns, Historical Development with Current Innovation and Mathematics and us.
