Free screening and early intervention camp held in Kohima

A free screening and early intervention camp was organised by Bumblebee Society from April 28- 30 at Upper Agri Colony, Kohima.

During the three days camp, over 200 children availed the offered services a such as eye and dental check up, occupational therapy, speech and audiology, clinical psychology assessment, screening and assessment, Aadhaar enrolment, E-shram, Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) and Ayushman.

The essential services were provided mostly to children with disabilities who face challenges and difficulties in getting themselves enrolled due to the long waiting period and unfamiliar environment.

A press note from Bumblebee Society informed that the camp witnessed a major breakthrough in assessing and finding numbers of children with disabilities and the required guide and support they need.

Calling it a first of its kind in Nagaland, Bumblebee Society stated the camp was a collaboration between the Society, ANAHA trust, Holy Family Hospital New Delhi, Nagaland Health Mission, Deputy Commissioner’s Office Kohima and the Entrepreneurs Associates Kohima.
