Gas for Trees (GFT) – a franchise of Kangla Gas Solutions Pvt Ltd – was officially launched by Akhom Birendra Singh, Chairman, Kangla Gas Solutions Pvt Ltd, today here in Kohima.

A business initiative of Neichute Doulo, CEO Entrepreneur Associates (EA), Gas for Trees (GFT) is located in Sepfuzou Colony, High School Road. Through GFT, Doulo hopes to change the cooking gas servicing in Kohima and also hopes that his business venture will support the initiative of the Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) in planting one billion fruit trees by 2050.

Addressing the inaugural function, Singh said the main objective of Kangla Gas Solutions is to promote green environment through clean and quality fuel with customer satisfaction. He also highlighted the importance of LPG in the environment and use of composite fibre cylinders.

Doulo said it was a long felt need of 21 years to provide cooking gas to families in the rural areas generally in Nagaland, which will eventually reduce the dependence on firewood for fuel in the kitchens which produces smoke and is detrimental to health. He said it will also reduce the dependence on trees for wood as millions of trees are cut down every year.

Gas for Trees cylinders are a new innovation because it has a translucent body which helps customers to accurately check the LPG level against light, and customers will not be cheated on what price they are paying, stated the CEO of EA.

Speaking on the safety measures, Doulo said GFT cylinders are composite fibre products and 100% explosion proof.

“I believe every family should shift to this fibre glass cylinders because it’s explosive free and it can save you and your loved ones in case any accident happens and we are alive to the reality that a lot of accidents have happened because of LPG gas cylinder packed in the metal container,” he said.

Doulo further said GFT is not only for business trust but also for the sake of protecting our environment and to enable greater safety measures for the customers. He also informed that Manipur was the first state to launch the product followed by Nagaland. The fibre glass cylunders will also be available in Assam, Mizoram and Meghalaya very soon and further cover the remaining states of the Northeast.
