Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, along with the officers and staff of the Governor’s Secretariat, Lok Bhavan, Kohima paid solemn tributes to former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 8th death anniversary and remembered former Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan on his 1st death anniversary on August 16.

The Governor and the officers and staff recalled with deep respect and gratitude the remarkable contributions of the two distinguished personalities to public service and the nation. Their dedication, commitment to public life and enduring legacies were remembered on the occasion.

Former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was remembered as one of India’s most revered statesmen and parliamentarians. His visionary leadership, eloquence, statesmanship and unwavering commitment to democratic values left an enduring mark on the nation. His contributions towards India’s development, national unity and global standing continue to inspire generations.

Tributes were also paid to La Ganesan, former Governor of Nagaland and the 21st Governor of the State. His simplicity, humility and dedicated service to the nation and the people of Nagaland were fondly remembered. His warmth, affection for the people and commitment to public service left a lasting impression during his tenure as Governor.

The Governor, along with the officers and staff of the Governor’s Secretariat, Lok Bhavan, Kohima, paid homage to the departed leaders and honoured their enduring legacies of service with deep respect and gratitude.
