Nagaland will experience light rainfall and cloudy moderate rain in almost all the districts from May 15 till 21, 2025, informed the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) in a weather update issued on May 13. Further, heavy rain has been predicted for all the districts on May 18.
“These showers may be accompanied with lightning at isolated places. During this period, intermittent rainfall is expected in all the districts of Nagaland. As a result, it is vital to take the necessary measures at this period, including avoiding lightning strikes and high winds, which can disrupt communication and connectivity,” advised the NSDMA.

In this regard, it has urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period. The NSDMA, Home Department also requested all the District Disaster Management Authorities and other line departments to remain on high alert to safeguard lives and property during the monsoon season.
