The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland has informed of the revised guidelines for Post Matric scholarships for ST students which will be effective from 2023-24.
It notified that as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, students are eligible for stipend of only upto a maximum period of 10 months in a year. Fresh and Renewal students will be getting the same amount, it said.
The Department has also said that the Scheme Implementing Agency of Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students has initiated the payment of the 2nd instalment as per the sanction given by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Hence, the Final instalment will be carried out as and when Ministry releases the last instalment for the year 2023-24.
It also informed beneficiaries who do not received their 2nd instalment till 1st December 2024 due to bank account issues may send their active bank details through the given link https://forms.gle/vSvvWCfgZuYL4nSv8.
