Holy Cross School, 3rd NAP Saksi Tuensang celebrated Pre Teachers Day on 4th September in the School Campus.
Mono Khiamniungan, Headmaster, in his exhortation speech expressed gratitude to all the teachers for the commitment, passion and their relentless pursuit of excellence. He emphasised that teachers also play the role of a parent, shaping the future of students.
He urged the students to engage in both extra curricular activities and studies as education encompasses more than grades and degrees. He underscored that students should develop love and understanding of the world beyond the classroom.
Chobalepla Chang, School Captain in her speech, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their patience, perseverance and the work put in to shape future generations. She highlighted that teachers play a profound role in nurturing the minds of the young impacting and influencing the society.
Chang added that the beauty of teaching lies in its abilities to transform lives. She underscored that a great teacher does not just impact knowledge but spark curiosity, foster creativity and encourage critical thinking and as students, they were fortunate to have mentors who are deeply invested in their growth.
“We promise to carry forward the lessons you have taught us but know this, you are truly appreciated and admired and that you are inspiration for every student,” she added.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Kamchila and Throngkohli, invocation from Themsao, vote of thanks delivered by Nokching followed by entertainment session including dance, raindrops, 4 vibes, cosplay and more.
