A meeting concerning the upcoming Census 2027 House Listing Operations was held at the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Jakhama, on 19th June 2026. The meeting was convened by the SDO (C) Jakhama, Vineikho Tetso, NCS.

During the meeting, SDO Civil deliberated on various aspects related to the House Listing Operations, which form the first phase of Census 2027. The exercise aims to collect information on housing conditions, household amenities, and other relevant details to facilitate accurate census enumeration. The Census 2027 will be conducted in phases, starting from July 1 to July 30, 2026 with the house-listing exercise serving as the foundation for the population enumeration to follow.

He also emphasized the importance of cooperation from village authorities and local communities to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of the census operations across the sub-division. Village leaders were also briefed on their roles and responsibilities in assisting census officials during the exercise.

The meeting concluded with a call for collective efforts from all stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and the successful conduct of Census 2027.

The meeting was attended by Head Gaon Buras (GBs) and Village Council members from villages under Jakhama Sub-Division, including Viswema, Jakhama, Mima, Pfuchama, Kigwema, Phesama, and Khuzama.
